Black-eared grebe

Description:

Small to medium sized grebe, growing up to some 30 to 32 cm in length. In winter time, such is on photos, both sexes look alike, black-white-grey birds with typically red eyes.

Habitat:

Small colony of these grebes seen from shores of lake Leman in a village harbor in Yvoire.
