Description:

Small moth with rich brown coloration. Large yellow patch on back Reddish brown coloration near hind margin of wings. Silver fringe and stripes. There are a couple of species that look like this and must be dissected to separate.

Habitat:

Meadow bordering temperate forest. Gardiner County Park, NY.
