I'm pretty sure it's a slash pine.

There are no White Pines in the area, and Longleaf cones are bigger. I'm pretty convinced that this cone is from a Loblolly Pine.

It looks like a cone from a White Pine, but from this angle I wouldn't cross my heart over it. And, unless it was planted as an ornamental, I doubt you'd find one down in Louisiana! Longleaf Pine comes to mind as to native species down there that candidate for a match to this cone, but I'm not an expert for that region. Hmm...
