Common Anthelid - ? male

Anthela acuta

Description:

A pale "furry" moth with a wing span of about 30 mm. Both Fore and hind wings show a clear brown line (yellow margin towards the submarginal area) running through them. Small brown spots seen on both wings also in the sub-marginal area. Fore wings show two ringed eye spots and a faint brown wavy line between them. Antennae were partially visible as yellow streaks, on either side of head. Thorax had dense setae.

Habitat:

Spotted in a nature reserve with native trees
