The largest of the goldfinches at 5 inches. Mostly seen in flocks. (Non-breeding colors shown.)

Habitat:

Mostly at my feeder, but can be seen throughout the United States in plains, wooded areas, orchards, roadsides, etc.

Notes:

The goldfinches shown are males in non-breeding colors.
