Wood Nymph

Eudryas grata

Description:

This moth was spotted in Denver NC. just outside of Charlotte. The tips of the wings were very strange due to some sort of light defraction occuring on them which made them appear wet as if bloody but on closer inspection it was not.

Habitat:

Mixed Hard and Soft Woods nearby.

Very nice first spotting on Noah - welcome to the Project! Could you please put the scientific name in the section for scientific name and take it out of the common name/title? You could add this to a mission on animals of North Carolina: http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/9136...
