Lepisma saccharina

Description:

Silverfish are small (1/4" to 1/2"), wingless insects that are tapered from a blunt head to the tip of the tail. Their bodies are flattened. Their fish-like movements and silvery, reflective surfaces account for their name. They are mostly nocturnal.

Habitat:

Found in high-humidity environments; in homes, usually in bathrooms and basements.

More information about when and where it was found would be helpful for an ID, there are a good number of species within the Order.
