Green Lacewing Larva

Description:

A little lacewing larva inside its house of debris. It was scraping up lichen from the fence. You can see its little legs sticking up in the second picture.

Habitat:

Wood fence, rural deciduous area, Clermont County

Notes:

Fun fact: Lacewing larvae collect debris from their surroundings to build a "house" around themselves, both for protection and camouflage.
