Nature School For Teachers - Fall 2020 Launch!
Plebejus icarioides fenderi
Hiding in the grass on the summit of Bohemia Mountain.
I saw it on July 13th, so I guess it is unlikely that it's a Spring Azure.
It's late in the year to seem Spring Azures. It's full-blown Summer Azure time here. Is the spotting date correct? If it was seen this spring, I'd say Spring Azure.
Logan, thank you!On the North American Butterfly Association website it says there are Spring Azure Blues in that area. Do you think it is one of those?http://www.naba.org/chapters/nabaes/hots...
Azure (Celastrina sp.) This on is a female. This one is pretty beaten up and hard to identify.
Thank you so much, Hema!
