Description:

Cocoon stage, pointed ovals connected to branches of small brush next to a golf course. Color gray/silver. Some with mud covering. Some with closely placed short sticks.

Habitat:

This has been an unusually rainy winter, flooding, possibly the reason to see these cocoons here.
