Egret

Ardea Alba

Description:

This guy was hanging outside the Oyster Bar.

Habitat:

Coastal and marshlands

Notes:

I was surprised he was so close to us as when I am out kayaking they usually fly away at 100 yards or so. This guy was as close as 50 feet to us and he was just prancing around picking through the shells looking for a morsel. He had more the attitude of a gull than an egret!
