Dog Vomit Slime Mold

Description:

This is the same specimen as shown in the first picture from my previous spotting one day later. It is now browner and has a hole in it with a dark brown fluid seeping out. When touched it was brittle and turned to dust.

Habitat:

Growing on the bark of a black cherry tree.

Notes:

Not slimy and not a mold.
