It's not uncommon for storks, ibises, herons, and egrets to nest in or forage in the same area. I remember seeing some egrets in a large woodstork colony near St. Augustine.

that is what we thought. the limpkins are the brown with some light spots?

Hi- the darker birds may just be juvenile Ibis

we do get both here but the limpkins seem to follow the gators

are limpkins and ibis the same thing? they seem to flock together and look alike except the color

Limpkin is a brown wading bird, where as a limpet is an invertebrate critter. ; )
