red cap with removable white patches (remnants from universal egg out of which the mushroom rose), white gills, fleshy white ring on stem, oblique rings of tissue at base of stem

Habitat:

under pines and birch, Kamchatka, Russian Far East

Notes:

this is the classic shamanic mushroom of Siberia
