Prairie Seeds

These are prairie seeds harvested in southern Nebraska. The Prairie Plains Resources Institute uses them to replant prairie along rivers and in old agricultural fields. Prairie, and in particular tallgrass prairie, is one of N. America's most threatened ecosystems because it tends to occur in places with great soil for agriculture.
