Orange Mint Moth

Pyrausta orphisalis

Description:

A very small (maybe 2cm wide?) and colorful moth. I thought that it was a butterfly at first.

Habitat:

I found it feeding on some alyssum in my garden. It was not very camera shy.

Notes:

We have lots and lots of mint on the property, as it is a little aggressive in its spreading habits.
