Zonitis bilineata
About 9-10 mm in length, orange with white elytra (wing covers) that may or may not be striped with black.
Strongly associated with sunflowers (Helianthus annuum) in degraded shortgrass prairie habitat with yucca, prickly-pear cacti, and scattered elm trees.
This species is common this year, but has been scarce or absent in previous years. Specimens with all-white elytra may be freshly emerged from the pupa stage and the black stripes not yet fully expressed.
