Spotting

Description:

Large moth, yellow with brown spots and eyes. Line of connected brown dots span across the lower portion of the wings.

Habitat:

Woods

Notes:

I saw a post from India on the home page that looks similar to this moth in NC, USA. It is a Monkey moth, Eupterote mollifera. Could they be related?

Your welcome, Edith. They are so unique with a lot of variance within the species. They mimic rotting poplar leaves.
