American Bison (Buffalo)

Description:

These large bovines are dark brown with a shaggy winter coat that protects them from harsh weather. Bulls may weigh up to 2500 lbs. Cows are smaller. Calves are born with a reddish coat that turns dark brown as they put on their first winter coat.

Habitat:

Bison lived in many habitats ranging from grasslands, mountains, and even forests.
