European Garden Spider

Araneus diadematus

Description:

Morning fog caused dew on this spiders web. This female is one of the few spiders left before the frost hits. I'm guessing she is trying to get a few more snacks before she lays her eggs.

Habitat:

All over the World! Often found in gardens, fields and forests.

Notes:

If you have one of these around your property, leave it alone and you now have a natural "bug zapper"!

Thanks! It was a very nice foggy morning walk with my dog. The dew really helps you notice the amount of webs out there!

Nice capture of the spider as well as the web! The web really adds to the beauty of the photo.
