Could be mom was pi@@ed at the escort? Nice air photo, gives such a sense of size difference between calf and adult. That little one has a lot of growing to do.

Yes, mother/calf/escort. It was shot with a 400mm lens at 2,000 ft but I am sure that they were a little agitated with my engine noise.
