Hi alicelong martin thankyou for your comment..It really was'nt that cold ,we're having warmer than usual october(infact year) since it was an all season suet I put it out and this flicker devoured it in about 3 days have not seen him since just jays ??
He looks like a nice youngster. It must be cold enough to put out suet.
