hey kate, i'd just like to point out that it's actually a damselfly, not a dragonfly. i could tell by the way they fold their wings - damselflies fold their wings while dragonflies open out theirs. damselflies are also much "slimmer" than dragonflies. their eyes are separated whereas dragonflies' are side by side. :)
Thanks!!! But it was my trusty National audubon Field Guide to New England which I bet would work for you too. It is great because it only has New England species of everything from trees to mammals! I don't get bogged down looking through all the birds etc. in the world just what lives nearby!
