Tent-making bats

Uroderma bilobatum

Description:

Medium sized-leaf-nosed bats with brownsih grey coat.Four white stripes in their faces. These were found roosting at the underpart of the leaves of a tall palm tree.These roosts provide excellent protection from the tropical rains, and a single tent roost may house several bats at once.

Habitat:

Garden in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
