Northern Mockingbird

Description:

Very small mockingbird singing in urban front yard.

Notes:

This young bird was engaging in call-and- response with a nearby bird, mimicking every call the other bird gave as if learning or practicing something new. I suspect this is a juvenile tuning up for his first attempt at courtship.
