Spotting

Description:

Found nestled among feather moss, the fungus is white, somewhat wet looking, and reminds me of Golden Trumpets (Xeromphalina campanella)- just white. Gills are attached, the cap is slightly depressed in the middle, no discernible ring, and the mushroom clusters just like the Trumpets do.

Habitat:

Rainforest -- found in mossy area next to a river system. Very high humidity.

Notes:

I missed taking a spore sample, but I suspect they would be white as the fungus seemed to glow with how white it was.
