Native or Asian? How to tell?
I think your right. This ones spots don't match compleatly but it showed so many different patterns so who's to say there is not more. And the shape looks like a match to me.
I have suggested this link because by the markings on its head and comparing it to the grid of photos on the page, it looks very like the one 2nd row down on the left hand side.
No problem. If you have any other questions feel free to send me an email.
It looks like the multicolored Asian lady beetle to me simply by the patterns of spots but I can't be certain. The most common in north America is the convergent lady beetle and next most the 7 spotted and I'm sure it's neither of those so you should research the multicolored Asian lady beetle on Wikipedia and see if the patterns of the spots match. If not you can probably find it here:http://bugguide.net/node/veiw/15740
