Your spotting has been nominated for the Spotting of the Week. The winner will be chosen by the Project Noah Rangers based on a combination of factors including: uniqueness of the shot, status of the organism (for example, rare or endangered), quality of the information provided in the habitat and description sections. There is a subjective element, of course; the spotting with the highest number of Ranger votes is chosen. Congratulations on being nominated!

Thanks Sigg. I'm not an entomologist but I didn't see any matches in his album.

Check out this Flickr album "Malaysia bees" by Bernard Jacobi, https://www.flickr.com/photos/29697818@N...
You may find a match, I didn't take to time to go through all the images.

Thanks for all the great comments. Thanks kel and sunny, but these appear to be more orange than the bees in Trigona.

Saw these in Cambodia also, Dan, but they were straight, without the flared top.
