Description:

Adult has rusty-orange band across breast; prominent supercilium(whitish in front of eye, becoming broader and rufous behind); black ear-coverts and sides to crown; whitish throat with black streaking, typically forming diffuse malar stripe and band across lower throat; streaking on the belly and flanks Photo taken at Pangot, Uttrakhand, India

Habitat:

Breeds in dwarf shrubs in alpine and sub-alpine zone; winters in bushes in cultivation and scrub. Summers 2700-4000 m and winters they migrate down to 600 m.
