Hi Rachel, thanks for place these two very good photographs within the Galapagos Biodiversity Mission. Let me suggest, though, that these birds belong to the Galapagos subspecies of the American Oystercatcher, Haematopus palliatus galapagensis. I dont believe they are Eurasian Oystercatchers, Haematopus ostralegus, as indicated. I would also be good if you could identify the place where on Galapagos the photo as taken.
