Skipper Butterfly

Hesperiidae Family

Notes:

There are many varieties of skipper moths. I think this one is either a Hobomok or a Sachem. http://www.rkwalton.com/skip.html

I have another picture from a side angle I will share. I'm not sure if it's the same moth or not but someone once told me it was a Skipper

Ya this is a tough one because of the angle. There was a map showing where the Silver Spotted Tiger Moth had been seen and none of them were near NE where this was taken. Thank You for the help and suggestions!

I'm not positive on the ID though, given that it is hard to see the wing pattern or body shape at that angle. It may be a moth from the Hepialidae family. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hepialidae
