Mantled Howler Monkey

Description:

A mother Mantled Howler Monkey and her albino baby. We were in a canoe in the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge and were lucky enough to spot one of only 2 known albino Howler Monkeys in the refuge. I believe the other albino is an adult. These two were napping in the trees above our canoe and the baby woke up and got adventurous. I got the canoe stuck behind a log long enough to take this series of photos before the current swung us around.

Habitat:

Central American Rainforest

I love Howlers! There are such lively creatures =) Last time I was in Costa Rica they were jumping on the boat and everything. Hysterical!
