Acanaloid planthopper nymph

Acanalonia

Description:

There is a good chance this is Acanalonia conica because there were full-grown flatid planthoppers on the stem but I'm not absolutely sure. The fourth photo shows my fingertip at the top to give a bit of an idea of size. The white "hairs" are waxy filaments that the nymph extrudes from its abdomen.

Habitat:

Dogfennel plant in Jordan Lake woods
