My co worker and I think they are snake eggs, we left them alone but today I had to go see if they hatched and all but one was hatched! Not sure what snake but the co worker has seen a black snake in that area, a woody area.
I found some eggs buried under Pine needles 2 weeks ago, today only one is left it was about 2 1/2 inchs long and 2 inchs wide, bigger than a lizard, sort of soft! Any idea what it may be?
Just like our Coral snake. I fished a baby out of our pool one year and didn't know until afterwards that it was a Coral snake. I like to see them in a natural habitat. I guess you know they have to bite you between the toes or fingers to actually break the skin and hurt you.

Hard to say without getting hands on. If they were squishy it's quite possible you found some snake eggs.
