Pterodroma sandwichensis
An endangered bird that breeds on the Hawaiian archipelago. It was once lumped together with the Galapagos petrel as the "dark-rumped petrel". The bird is threatened by introduced land mammals which predate its eggs and chicks. This bird is a very rare visitor to the west coast of the United States.
