Stingray

Dasyatidae

Description:

Big fella. Ghostly even in broad daylight. Makes you want to shuffle your feet when wading.

Habitat:

ocean

Notes:

Caught him while fishing with cut squid off beach in North Captiva Island. Released him carefully using pliers. My son held long-handled net over tail because we felt a little anxious. Don't know the specific genus. Anyone?
