Jewel beetle

Castiarina aeraticollis

Description:

An attractive jewel beetle with banded yellow and blue/black zones resembling a native bee. The lateral red edge extends completely to the anterior tip of the elytra.

Habitat:

Found on native flowering tea tree although the photographs are taken on a golden diosma.

This looks very similar to Castiarina punctatosulcata and I am not sure of the difference.
