Magnolia x soulangiana
Grows up to 25 feet or higher. Deciduous magnolia that is hardy to cold weather making it a good match for the Northwest. However if it blooms early and then suffers a frost it will loose all flowers. Has white, pink, and sometimes purple blooms that have a saucer like shape also resembling a floppy tulip.
