Spotted in the Amazon rainforest section of the Vancouver Aquarium. Beautiful green, blue and yellow plumage. Dark beak with white band at base.


Very warm and humid section of the aquarium with tropical plants. Simulated Amazon rainforest.

Lori.tas thanks for the suggestion! You put me on the right trail - in fact it is a crimson-rumped toucanet, but it's hard to tell as in these photos you can't see his crimson rump!
