I saw several of these at the refuge. Males are black with iridescent highlights and have bright yellow eyes. Females are brownish grey with dark brown eyes.
Spotted at the Ouray NWR in Utah. Mostly prairie grassland, lowland riparian, and sagebrush steppe.
