Ferocactus cylindraceus

Description:

Cylinder shaped cactus with long, white to red spines. The color depends on the age of the spines as well as the shape. The older it is, the less colorful and more curved as shown in the second image. It will have yellow flowers when in bloom.

Habitat:

Anza-Borrego Desert State Park during the superbloom
