I did this identification mostly by range; A. vaigiensis has not been reported around Belize. But from internet pictures, I have noticed that saxatilis seems to have more extensive yellow in its dorsal yellow than vaigiensis.
They look just like the Indo-Pacific Sergeants (Abudefduf vaigiensis) we have in Hawaii. Is the Sergeant Major the Atlantic variety by chance?
