House Sparrow

Passer domesticus

Description:

Habitat:

Urban. Made its nest on the exterior part of a vent pipe.

Notes:

Two years ago, when I was in uni, this bird got stuck inside the vent pipe, dangerously close to the van over my oven. So I turned it off completely, and temporarily downloaded engineer skills into my brain to dismantle it and save the bird then assemble it again. The poor fellow was pretty scared and quite wet due to the rain, so even though I opened the window so she could fly away, she just kept chirping and bumping into the window in a cute but stupid away. I gave her some bread before she went flying into the rain.
