Description:

Monocotyledon. Heart-shaped leaves.

Habitat:

Moist, north facing slope, above river plain. Hardwood forest. This plant was located half way down the hill in a zone that borders between the predominantly oak and hickory forest and the riverine forest of yellow poplar, sweet gum, American beech, and American hornbeam.
