Description:

fuzzy, fat big bee

Habitat:

Pacific coast temperate rain forest, Douglas fir, western hemlock, Sitka spruce, alder and salmonberry.

Notes:

This is the bee we see most often in our garden. It lives in the ground and is the prime pollinator of blackberries and other rubus species.
