Spring peepers are singing in ponds and vernal pools all over Maine right now. This one was on his way to a pool in an oak forest.

Habitat:

ponds, slow streams, vernal pools, ditches near wooded areas to breed in the spring. They are in the trees and hard to spot the rest of the year.
