Western Skink

Plestiodon skiltonianus

Description:

Found this reptile invading my home. The size 2in in diameter with a blue tail and 2 yellow stripes down it's back.

Habitat:

The Western Skink seems to prefer a somewhat moist environment, although it can also be found on dry hillsides. Frequents grassland, broken chaparral, pinon-juniper and juniper-sage woodland, and open pine-oak and pine forests. The soil of its nest chambers is invariably moist. Standing water is apparently not required.

Notes:

Various photos were taken of this species. Contact me at NewWaveElectronics08@gmail.com for more pics. Questions or comments.

Realese next too your house just outside where you found it. It will eat bugs for so it would be best too put it in a garden area if you have one.

Newwave, Zenyn is right. I don't think he's disputing your spotting, just my suggestion of it being a 5-lined skink.
