Indian Leopard

Panthera pardus fusca

Habitat:

monsoon forest

Notes:

spotted this indian leopard sleeping in a tree while on safari in Bandipur national park. I was in a minibus filled with rowdy domestic Indian tourists. I did not expect to see much on the 45 minute safari. thats why I was so blown away to see this leopard. the previous day a leopard crossed right in front of the bus but was too quick for a photo. leopards are called cheetahs in India
