Diptera family commonly known as blowfly braquíceros meat because their larvae develop in carrion and dung, and in the living tissues of humans and other animals.
The flesh flies are often numerous in populated areas, but rarely enter houses or establishments that handle food in significant numbers. Females of many species deposit their larvae live in the waste of meat or dog droppings. They are often a nuisance outdoors near where dogs.
The flesh flies are larger than house flies (up to two or three times) and are light gray with a gray and black pattern on the abdomen, such board.
