Plain Tiger

Danaus chrysippus

About 40mm large approx. grey colour with yellow stripes and black spikes.

Spotted during a walk day at Nusa Dua - Bali, coastal area, bush & low vegetation. The range of the plain tiger extends from Africa and southern Europe, eastwards via Sri Lanka, India, and Myanmar to China, Java and Sulawesi. It is a very common species.

The same day I had the chance of spotting the Caterpillar and the Butterfly of the same specimen: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/543...
